Dr. Leering grew up in Mississauga, Ontario and graduated from the University of Western Ontario. He went on to Graduate from The Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) in Toronto, Ontario in 1997. He practiced in Waterloo, Ontario for thirteen years before moving to Kelowna in 2010. He was distinguished to start his internship at the Wellesley-Central Hospital, a University of Toronto, Faculty of Medicine teaching hospital.
He volunteered for many years assisting the Admission Committee at CMCC conducting admission interviews. He was a past member of the Rotary Club and has been privileged to mentor many students and associates over the years. As a student he was involved in community based programming for youth with The Boys and Girls Club and for years with Metro Toronto Housing Authority.
His practice approach is collaborative, evidence informed, and patient centered. He utilizes many different treatment techniques and in most cases steers patients for their own active recovery, maintenance, and rehabilitation.
He has specialized experience in delivering Shockwave Therapy, Orthotic prescription using Gait Scan, and Instrument Adjusting using the Activator tool. Dr. Leering is a Registrant of the British Columbia College of Chiropractors, member of the British Columbia Chiropractic Association, and a member of the Canadian Chiropractic Association.
