All your questions should be answered in a way you understand.

Following this, you will be asked to read, discuss, and sign a Consent to Treatment Form.

Types of Treatment

Some of the things that can be advised for treatment in office for your condition would include:

  • Spinal Adjustments:  Using traditional chiropractic adjustments
  • Activator Adjustments:  Using a tool called an Activator.  Sometimes Activator adjustments can be used on other joints of the body such as the ribs, TMJ, shoulder, elbow, wrists, hip, knees and ankles, to name a few.
  • Shockwave Therapy:   Dr. Leering uses Shockwave Therapy for chronic soft tissue injuries such as plantar fasciitis and elbow or shoulder tendonitis.  Some soft tissue work might be appropriate and many times he will advise for you to consult with a Registered Massage Therapist, if required.
  • Orthotics: For foot, ankle, knee, hip, sacroiliac, or lower back problems a custom orthotic may be required and Dr. Leering can use a specialized computer program and force plate to measure your feet both standing (static) and walking (dynamic).  Typically some stretching and home exercise will be advised.
  • Inflammation Management:  You will be advised to get active and stay moving. Sleeping, sitting, or workplace recommendations are dispensed thoughtfully  Dr. Leering will be happy to work with other members of your health care providers to ensure your recovery needs are being met.

You should find that you are treated with the utmost respect, listened to and your questions answered, and given a plan for care based on your individual needs, in a caring and supportive environment with placing your needs first.

Chiropractic care is a reasonable part of recovery for many injuries and conditions.
